OKLAHOMA CITY - The U.S. Grant athletic department announced the hiring of Jaylon Chiles as the new wrestling head coach over the weekend.

Chiles comes to U.S. Grant from Geary High School, where he's served as the head coach for the Bison since September 2022. He brings over 18 years of wrestling experience to his new role, including a wide knowledge of training, weightlifting, and balance drills. He also was an Assistant Football coach in his time with Geary.

He graduated from Grand Canyon University with a bachelor's degree in Educational Studies. He is a Putnam City North High School graduate, where he was dominant on the mat. He was a 3-time State Champion at PCN in freestyle and Greco, and also went on to become a 4-time All-American.

"I'm incredibly excited to become a General." said Chiles in his introductory press conference. "I value commitment and determination from the student-athletes I coach, and I look forward to continuing to build the wrestling program at U.S. Grant. They have really taken great strides over the past few years, and can't wait to see what these amazing athletes can do."

Chiles is married to his wife Fanni, and they reside in Oklahoma City.
